The SDT103 Automotive Smoke Leak Detector can assist service technicians in leak detection testing. Leak detection is the most basic but absolutely essential test in the automotive repair process. The SDT103 Automotive Smoke Leak Detector is capable of outputting a constant standard test pressure of 32 mbar required by automotive EVAP systems through precise pressure regulation of the external air source, which can output smoke within seconds and can find leak holes as small as 0.5mm.

WHAT CAN SDT103 SMOKE LEAK DETECTOR LOCATOR DO? The SDT103 Smoke Leak Detector can be used for a wide range of applications, including crankcase system test, intake system test, car sealing test, fuel tank system test, turbo test, various pipe fittings test, EVAP system test, and exhaust system test.

SPECIAL DETECTION FOR EVAP The SDT103 EVAP Smoke Machine can be used by connecting an external air source and a 12V battery. It is designed with a built-in pressure controller to fix the output pressure at 3.2Kpa (0.46psi), which is especially for EVAP system testing to prevent EVAP pipes from being damaged by excessive pressure.

COMPACT AND PORTABLE Most smoking machines are bulky and heavy, which is not conducive to the transportation and storage of the equipment. SDT103 Fuel Leak Detectors weigh only 2.3kg, making it small and light, not only for easy storage but also for ease of use.

HOW TO DO LEAKAGE TEST? 1. Connect an external air source and a 12V battery. 2. Fill (baby oil or mineral oil based) smoke oil into the smoke machine. Note: The oil level shall not exceed the level gauge. 3. Disconnect the pipes that need to be connected with the detector. 4. Connect 12V vehicle power to start the device. 5. In about 30 seconds, the pipe will be filled with smoke. Check the leak points and use a headlamp if necessary.

CAUTIONS: 1. When using this Car Smoke Leak Detector for the first time, fill it with 10ml baby oil. Please be careful not to exceed this range. 2. Both liquid paraffin and baby oil are suitable as the testing liquid. 3. Fresh oil can be filled only when the smoke gets thin, and it can't be filled over 20ml each time. 4. Before filling fresh oil, please pour out the left oil in the detector and replace the detector oil regularly. 5. During the process of leak detection, please keep away from smoke-sensitive parts. 6. Do NOT run the detector for over 8 minutes continuously. It needs interval rest. 7. The round part of this detector has temperature, please be careful to avoid burns. 8. If the test pipe needs to be disconnected in the middle, please secure the other side with a rubber stopple.
