Batteries should be replaced every 6 months or when the alarm sounds a low battery chirp. The smoke alarm is also self-testing and easy to install with the included twist-and-click mounting bracket.

This Kidde smoke alarm is equipped with end-of-life notifications that will beep to remind you it's time to replace it at the end of its 10-year lifespan. It meets the requirements of the 9th Edition UL 217 and FCC, but does not meet the requirements for CSFM.

The smoke detector features a loud 85-decibel alarm that sounds when smoke is detected, and a red LED light that blinks in time with the alarm. The compact 4-inch design is ideal for small spaces, while the enhanced sensing technology helps reduce false alarms often caused by cooking.
